Geometric lace panels and Pleated Chiffon Silk
Aisla, a London creative, chose to create a bespoke wedding dress with me. The dress combines contrasting elements that come together in one beautiful dress.
Sun ray pleated silk chiffon was created by by cement pleating, a London company that was established nearly 100 years ago.
For Aisle’s dress, the pleated chiffon was used to create various effects. The skirt is loose and free-flowing, the sleeves are draped and blouson inserted into silk crepe cuffs, and the bodice pleats are neat and fitted to the body.
The ethereal chiffon is contrasted with striped lace, enhancing the geometric and angular panels of the bodice, and bordered with silk crepe bands.
The chiffon sleeves fall open at the split to reveal a lace sleeve.
The neckline is a soft and delicate v-neck.
The skirts are long, floor-length but there is no train to allow for uninhibited paying.
