Hi-Lo Ballgown with Burnt Orange lace details

I write this as the snow falls down around us in London in search for something that will make me feel warm again! Michelle and Steve's wedding was the perfect cure! I wonder if all the gorgeous orange and earthy tones were part of Michelle's plans for keeping warm for her mid-November outdoor ceremony at Wotton House!?
Michelle was certain of the details of her wedding dress design when she first came to see me - Orange lace and details being the main feature for her Autumnal wedding, combined with all the beautiful tones of her floral displays, it looked beautiful!
The bodice was based on fine illusion tulle with delicate Chantilly lace just creeping onto the shoulders. The back was low and edged with hand-painted and beaded lace in tones of yellow orange and red, with occasional hints of brown and earthy green for depth. The lace spilled onto the skirts of each of the skirts that Michelle wore.
For the Ceremony, the skirt was made in Organza with lots of folds, volume and texture and a longer train, with a band of Crin ribbon at the hem for extra flounce. The folds were subtly manipulated to fall slightly asymmetrically.
The skirt for the evening was of similar style, but in a smoother falling silk crepe with an orange lining that could be seen under the hi-lo hem. The front was concertinaed to look somewhere in between a wrap and a frill.
