Floral embroidered white wedding dress for snowy winter wedding.
Remember the snow of 2018!? Yeah, us too!!
Georgina emailed me relatively last minute (with, I think, just 5 months until her wedding date) to find her dress. She dreamed of a spring wedding with a floral embroidered wedding dress.
The silhouette is simply slim, fitted and flared softly with a small train, cut in light silk crepe, and a french silk chiffon overlay.
A boned under-bodice in silk with a sheer chiffon decollete and sleeves. For the embroidery we chose spring floral motifs that were planned for the bouquet which included daffodils, bluebells, and jasmine, as well as embroidering Georgina and Greg’s initials and wedding date to the sleeve.
To the matching veil we also embroidered a special song lyric. The veil length I particularly loved, and which was Georgina’s suggestion. We initially tried longer, but Georgie suggested mid-length. I was unsure at the suggestion, but on pinning it up is looked great.
I always wish for the best forecasts for my brides and become slightly obsessed with the forecasts for them. Inevitably the snow storms rolled in, and I’m sure Georgie will now agree that the snow made the wedding day extra special.
Special shout out to Georgie’s mum too who is a lovely superstar in many way!
