Romantic Blush and Ivory, Beaded Lace Wedding Dress
I’ve made rather a lot of dresses now, and I think my style is becoming more and more evident, though I still can’t find a specific box to put myself in.
Sian’s dress, though I can’t find the words, is starting to sum up my design style.
The dress is hugely feminine, with soft layers of very fine tulle cascading over a layer of blush silk embroidered at the hips with Chantilly lace in a kind on ‘V’ formation at both the front and the back. (I always think that diagonal lines are always so hugely flattering on any figure.)
The bodice is made from a strong ivory tulle so that the shoulder straps and neckline have a ‘barely there’ feeling where the bodice is not embroidered with individual vines and flowers of beaded Chantilly lace.
The nature of the tulle, with a slight stretch allows the bodice to be fitted to the body, but also have a plunging open back.
The waistline is finished with a silk satin ivory ribbon tied in a loose and casual bow on the side hip.
Working with Sian was so easy and enjoyable, with a clear vision from the start (though that’s not always necessary!), it was a real pleasure to see her dream wedding realised, she really does look beautiful!
